Hi, it may be a little late for you, but if it is any help i have a major in Asian Theatre? Seriously in my bachelors, i was an Aussie Theatre student who majored in Asian Performing arts - with a specific focus on the Japanese. If nothing else i might be able to throw some book titles at you? A lot of my stuff in in storage, but i might be able to be of some help if you throw me some countrys, dates, styles?

Yeah, reading the assigned text is sometimes of use. May i ask what book you are using (always on the hunt for new reading material)?

Oh, it's just our textbook- the Brockett/Hildy 'History of the Theatre', so probably not bedside reading! ;)

Actually i have a love affair with theatre text books *blush* That said, i find any "history of theatre" text completely useless when it comes to non-European/American/Western theatre periods/style/what have you - but that is probably because i crave detail, detail they don't have the space for. ;)

And i just googled and i am sure i have this one already (just an older edition), and with less than 100 pages covering all Asian Theatre history, i stand by my point above ;)
