butch up, sally- you got yourself a game

Oh, Friday. You take so long to get here, but I'm ever so pleased you arrived at last. Especially when we have an early dismissal this week- woohoo! School lets out at 1PM every other Friday and it is SO VERY NECESSARY for all involved, let me tell you.

Especially when half of my flist is apparently flipping out in JOY over last night's episode of SPN and I LONG to join them but have to wait until I make it home and download the blasted thing. *harumphs*

This weekend promises to be a doozy- C and I are plotting french toast shenanigans before tomorrow morning's choir rehearsal, while later in the day I plan to celebrate the joy of Becky's birthday. Sunday is a day of EVEN MORE JOY as it's the night of the long-awaited Martha Wainwright/The Swell Season concert. Words cannot contain the GLEE. \o/ I've been listening to Martha and the 'Once' soundtrack all week in preparation and I am RARING to go. I've never been to the venue before, but there's about ten of us planning on going, so it promises to rock most mightily. XD

Also, a question for all of you 'Friday Night Lights' watchers. I've heard SO many unhappy general reactions to S2 of the show that I'm wondering if I should bother. What do you say, flist? I feel the need for a middle school crush note:

Do you like S2 of FNL?

choose one:
- yes
- no
- maybe

Ooo, also? I have been reading The Lightning Thief and it is AWESOME and hits all my Greek mythology geek points. *LOVES* Y'all should get on that. Alsoalso? I picked up a copy of Flowers in the Attic at the library on Wednesday and it is HILARIOUSLY bad. SO overwrought and melodramatic. Subtlety, thy name is NOT V.C. Andrews. I'd heard so many references to it over the years that I wanted to read it for myself, but now I wonder if I'll make it through...

tv, music, books
