Ji finally came by (it'd been almost a damned year! yeesh) and we hung out. Played ukulele, watched music videos, and went to Target. We worked on a cover of "Lucky" by Jason Mraz.

Stephanie Gallagher hang out night! Funny how I'd sorta known her for a good year or two, but out of nowhere we became really good friends. Sometimes you just have that spark inside you waiting to explode haha. Anyway, we went over to the Cheese Course in Weston. Mmmm that chicken sandwich! We walked around that little shopping center, and determined that it sucks majorly. Drove around a bit, then came back and watched movies.

Took Denise to experience the food trucks for the first time, at the Design District. It was the same little art fair/market I went to last time with Cari, but this time they were having a little carnival of sorts. Dunk tank, stilt walker, etc. I gave in to the amazingocity of El Jefe's burgers once again, and got to try the shave ice at Kona Ice. It wasn't spectacular, but def the best I had had in Miami since the days of the shave ice stand inside International Mall. It was far too hot to really do anything, so I took her back home and got to doing some work.

Food trucks with Denise again! Only this time they were at the Auto Mall in Miami Lakes. It was really cool, there were like 30+ trucks out, and a lot of people there! I had a delicious turkey and ham sandwich at a beatles themed truck (that unfortunately killed my stomach later on) and a FAR superior cup of shave ice at Snocaps.

A new friend, Traci, came by and we went to the Yellow Green Farmer's Market. It was a great idea when we went last time, but it does not seem to have caught on. There were more empty booths this time and barely any food/fruit/veggie related ones. Such a shame, since it's a great idea and location!

After we came back and started watching LOST. She didn't believe me that it is the best show ever, and I had been meaning to rewatch it anyway. Man, I miss that show.

Got a call from a business related associate, that was very interesting. I cannot disclose what exactly it was about, but I just wanted to record this so I knew when it happened lol.

Made Carne Con Papa and Tostones with Denise in the pressure cooker! It came out GREAT...better tasting than the last time I had it at my mom/grandma's (shhh but don't tell them). We then watched the Prestige. Pretty good movie...Denise caught the twist halfway through. I think I enjoyed it more than Inception...not necc visually, but plotwise and acting wise I think it was far superior. Plus...come on, Scarlett Johansen!!!

Woke up super early, and picked up Christie at 9ish. Got Denise, and we were on our way to Marco Island. Took 41 over, which I hadn't been on since I was young. Very cool drive. Stopped at Nene's Cafe in Marco Island for lunch, and had a great burger. Then we stopped at Tiger Tail Beach. It's interesting, you go out into the shore but you see a very close island on the other side of what ends up being a little lagoon. You have to cross this lagoon at a low spot to get to the island and then the actual beach. Water was nice (a little windy though), and the sand was so soft!

Drove up to Naples and went to Tin City. I'm sure the repeat visit value is not high, but it was definitely a cool little tourist trap. We were gonna do the zoo but they closed early. We had Brio for dinner....deeeeeeeeeelicious. Had pork chops with mashed potatos, yum.

The sun was getting lower as we left, so I decided to go to the beach to see the sun set. We got to Clam Pass, and started walking on the boardwalk after one of the trolley operators totally ignored us. 5 minutes into the walk we realized the beach is a mile and a half away haha...but we couldn't jump on the trollies on the way there so we just sped walked and got there in time. Beautiful! We waited in line on the way back to take the trollies. There, we got mauled by sand fleas. Not fun!
