What else have I done in the last few weeks? Well, LJ is down currently so I'm not entirely sure what the last thing I wrote about was. Gary and Carolyn left for Europe, not before having a goodbye shindig at Falcon Pub, to which Lina accompanied me. Had the nice surprise of having Ms. Dana there. That sunday I drove around with G/C. We were supposed to go have a bike adventure in West Palm but they lamed out haha.
I ended up doing that the weekend after. Woke up early, and made it to the TriRail station in Golden Glades. Unpacked my bike, went across the pedestrian bridge, and got my ticket. Train got there at 10:16ish, and I got into the car with the bicycle decal. Tied up my bike, and sat down for what was a very long ride.
I got to WPB and hopped on my bike. Went out to the bay, and biked down that to a bridge and then the beach. My original plans were to take the beach down to Southern Blvd, and then back to the main land and explore WPB and downtown. What I ended up doing was just biking down the beach. Just kept going. The weather was not great...it was overcast but very very hot, which usually means it's about to rain. Thankfully no water came down upon me, but it was insanely hot. I ended up doing 11 miles, thinking I had done 6.
I finally crossed back to the mainland at Lake Worth Blvd, and then went across to the TriRail station there. Got some Subway for lunch, and then went to a flea market that's under the road....it was very lame. At this point it was just so hot out I decided to go back home. Far too hot to continue! The ride back was much more pleasant.
I've done a few misc other things here and there in the last few weeks. Mostly been busy with work and inventory. The construction/remodeling is, of course, taking far too long to do. We finally have our drop ceiling (mostly), and we were supposed to put in the new carpet this week...but now it's not for another month. Ugh.
