It's almost ridiculous how excited I am about Proof. I just spent the last hour probably writing a character sketch for Catherine. It's already two pages long, and I could still write so much more. I love digging into characters, it's one of my favorite things to do, regardless of whether I'm playing them or just reading about them in a book. And damn, David Auburn is a genius. He writes better dialogue than almost any writer i've ever read. I hope we can pull off this show, and make it look as good as it has the potential to be. The character development is going to make it or break it, so I hope we can all do it justice. There's only four characters so we all have to be totally solid, but oddly i'm not that worried. If Evan Cornelius actually gets our platforms up by next week, I will love him forever! He will by my new best friend. I might even make him cookies. And we're going to have rehearsal costumes next week. All this stuff with TWO WEEKS of rehearsal left before tech. Oh man, I hope we do it well. I don't want this to be a good show, I want this to be a great show. Most of all though, I don't want it to look like a high school show. If we can do that I'll be happy.
