Isn't funny how some people can be so attached to convention?
I'm sitting at the front of the comp labs (rather than in the back where I normally smuggle myself) and watching the turnstiles. Y'know those horrible three-pole numbers that grab your bags and regularly hit guys in the junk, those ones? Today, for some reason, the 'in' turnstile has been disabled by removing one of the three poles, leaving it wide open. So one logically assumes one does not need to swipe one's student card... right? And yet, so many people wander in, stare bewilderedly, and then swipe anyway. One particularly confused fool looked at this in consternation, looked around, swiped hesitantly... and then attemped to go through the 'out' turnstile. Yes, you guessed it. Wham! Right in the junk.
