(... but clearly I wasn't listening.)
I just finished "The Essay from Hell"(TM) [cue dramatic lightning and "dun, dun, DUN!"] at Ungodly O'clock in the morning (and I'm over the word limit *d'oh!*) so now I have to study for "The Test that makes me slightly nervous" (...Yeah ok, I know, that's just not scary). OMG dun wanna study! (my procrastination is Superglued on, yay!)
Is anyone else just having the month from hell? Everyone I speak to just seems to be having problem after problem: people getting sick, people going to hospital, getting hospital appointments cancelled, car accidents, cars breaking down, and so forth. My mom says apparently there's two full moons in Scorpio this month or some such crap which, yay, nothing like blaming the Great Cosmic Overload for your life's problems. Thanks universe, you suck ass.
UCT has lost two professors in the last month, ok, one to an airplane crash, but one to an attempted highjacking in this suburb, and at least two students were robbed at gunpoint in this area recently. Actually
this article is kinda scary:
"*In January 2005, UCT mathematics Professor Brian Hahn was bludgeoned with an umbrella on campus and kicked in the face. He died eight days later.
*In October 2005, UCT engineering professor Hugh Douglas was robbed at gunpoint in his office on the campus.
*In July 2006, UCT chemistry professor Mino Caira was left with serious head injuries by an attacker in his office."
Yikes! Remind me to never work at UCT *shivers*
