Thunderstormy Weather

It's raining hard outside and I'm sitting outside Walgeens and I can't go inside until it lets up at least a little because I have the girls with me and they both have colds.
I think it's letting up

*Update*
I sat in the parking lot about five more minutes because it only let up for about thirty seconds earlier and then started back harder than ever. It never ended up letting up until long after we were in the store shopping for the needed diapers and drying off. (Aubree has an umbrella so it was really just me drying.)

Matt came home from work early with a migraine. I needed to figure out something for food and I had to take the girls with me since he was sick. Since we only have one working window in the car (Paige's if it still works) I opted to drag the girls into Dairy Queen...

Ooo ooo! Netty's here I gotta bang her! (My sister's here I need to go trim her bangs!)
Heheh. We have so much fun with that. She texted me earlier and asked if I could do it and I told her I could bang her when she got off. (Trim her bangs when her shift ended.) Her friend, whom I also bang, said my business cards should read "No one can bang you like I can!"

OK now, where was I...I dragged the girls into Dairy Queen instead of going through the drive thru and opening the door to drench myself.
While we were there, I saw a friend of a friend and her family come in. I was busy with the girls and getting our food and then eating so I didn't speak right away. Her family sat down past us and then when she was leaving I made eye contact and said "Hi, how are you doing?" Oh she was fine how was I and then "I didn't even recognize you!"
I know for a fact that's a bunch of bull.
I had tried to make eye contact with her on several instances to be friendly (I didn't want to hear from my friend-she said she saw you the other day but you didn't speak to her) When I tried to make contact, it looked like she was intentionally avoiding looking at me. That's actually fine with me. I know she was doing it because I'm guilty of doing that myself...all the time...mainly at Walmart (which happens to be where she works but I don't do it to her)when I just want to get my shit and get out of there. I didn't really want to talk to her either, just wanted to be friendly, well I already said why. I just hate liars. And a blatant lie like that. Of course she recognized me! I had my two girls that she swoons over ever time I talk to her in Walmart (and Aubree is definitely unmistakable) and I know she's seen my hair since I've changed it...two months ago (red with gold highlights) because she's complimented me on it. I seem to be complaining an awful lot about something that I really do care nothing about.
Just why do we have to be polite to people we see that we know when it's obvious either person wants to talk.
We had fun at DQ though because we actually knew most of the high schoolers who work there. When I ordered Matt's food and our ice cream to take home, Taylor wrote Matt a personal note on a napkin and suck it in his bag of food "I think you smell like pee! - Love Taylor"
