I don’t think I have ever realized the full extent to which exercise gives you a high. Yesterday’s aerial acrobatics class was really amazing, and probably the most intense work out for my arms and core muscles than I’ve ever had. I was really proud of myself for how much I improved. I was actually able to climb all the way up this time! It was just a matter of psychologically getting over thinking I was heavy and couldn’t hold myself up. When I remembered to breath and thought to the top of my head I realized I could support my full body weight with my arms. It’ll take more of that confidence and strength before I can really get into doing foot locks and tricks and stuff, but I was able to do a few.
My entire day yesterday was pretty good. John Davis, the Reichian breath work therapist came to our class again in Awareness through the body II. He once again had some really incredible things to say. He explained some of his work to us, and its intentions, and did some of it with us.
