a door?

Ok, so there is a door leaning against the wall in my living room not attached to anything that was not previously there an hour ago. There are also no doors missing from their normal spots in my house. I don't know where it came from and why it is here. This is a very wtf moment for me.

Went on a field trip in my science class to meritime heritage park to do some ecological restoration. They had us go in with loppers and saws and break apart all the debris they cut from the trees so it could break down into the soil faster. I wasn't very happy about their reasoning for it. they had cut the lower branches from all the trees to make the wooded areas more see through so homeless people wouldn't be able to camp there. I can understand that, they leave behind a lot of trash and human waste, but what are they supposed to do now? They're still there, with bodies that need to sleep and still have biological processes. What if there were areas for them to throw away their trash and relieve themselves that didn't have an impact on the landscape?

We planted a whole bunch of Oregon grape and sword ferns, which are native to the NW, and we removed some of the invasive species, so I guess that is something to feel good about. It was a lot easier than shlepping it up the hill in the desert in flip flops in Israel with buckets to plant and water some trees that will probably just get burned down anyway. I might partake in more ecological restoration projects this summer when I don't really have anything to do.

I chopped more of my hair off just now to make it more even. Now I need to go to class.
