Despite expectations of otherwise, today was a pretty good day.
I picked up a fortune cookie at lunch in the VC. My fortune says "Remember one month from this date. Good things are coming!" I will be in New York one month from today. I suspect it is right.
Alex called me earlier today and said he needed to talk. He lost his job. This obviously is not good news. he was really upset. I am just really touched that he called me and wanted to talk to me and said he was thinking of all the people here he considered friends and I was one of the people he thought of. I was just really happy I could be there for him and make him feel a little better. I worry I'm not very good at that.
In the evening, I went to the movie Perfume with my Godlike companions. Oh. My. God. Thats all I have to say. I am still digesting the movie.
Tomorrow is the birthday of Thoughtful Esme (or Dirty Butcher as sometimes affectionately call her). We have some plans that should be fun and pretty chill. I don't know when I'll be doing my homework.
