There are two kinds of people on a mysterious island. There are so-called Honestants who speak always the truth, and the others are Swindlecants who always lie.
One day, three men are having a quarrel at market. A foreign man walks by and asks the first gentleman: "Are you an Honestant or a Swindlecant?" The answer is incomprehensible so the foreigner asks the second: "What did the first say?" The second gentleman answers: "He said that he is a Swindlecant." And to that says the third: "Do not believe him, he is lying!" Who are the second and third gentlemen?
Obviously no one on the island would admit to being a liar, thus the second gentleman must be a Swindlecant since he is lying about the first gentleman's reply, and the third gentleman is an Honestant because he has pointed out the truth.
Oh, dear. You have nothing to do while the rain is pouring?
Very well, then:
A young lady wishes to marry but wishes for an intelligent groom. So the lady sets up a logic problem involving three boxes and her engagement ring. On the first box there is an inscription that reads "The ring is in this box" the second has an inscription that reads "The ring is not in this box" and the third reads "The ring is not in the first box."
A master tells his apprentices he is thinking of two natural numbers bigger than one. They are to try guessing what they are. One apprentice knows the numbers' product, while the other has the sum. Says the first "I do not know the sum." The second replies "I knew that. The sum is less than 14." The first tells him "I knew that. However, now I know the numbers." And the second says "So do I." What were the numbers?
Is it an echo?

I never was, am always to be,
None ever saw me, nor ever will,
And yet I am the confidence of all
Who live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.

A memory?
No, no! You can see memories in your head and you don't always have confidence in a memory.
Hmmm . . .
Oh, I know! Is it 'tomorrow'?
