[... so long as it isn't an ugly cat. Looking at it warily to make sure it isn't feral or anything, he reaches out a hand to him.]

And where'd you come from, mate? One of the neighbors lose you?

[And he pads a little closer and sits.]

No, I came from that small bush over there.

[Ron blinks, surprised, but then he remembers that right, Luceti is insane.]

I've heard there are talking animals here, but I've never seen one myself.

Oh yes, my Master gave me this collar so that I can talk. Because my Master is very smart.

Is he, now? And who's your master? He's probably looking for you.

[bestbirddog]

My Master told me to find a bird, so I am tracking a bird smell. [The dog gets up, and puts his nose to the ground, snuffling in circles. Then he sits back down.]

Have you seen a bird?

Uh... in the sky, I reckon. Otherwise, no.

Ooooh, I have not looked in the sky--

[Why is Ron stuck talking to a hyperactive dog?] That's... kinda the first place where you'd look for birds.

But this bird is very large. Can large birds fly in the sky, too?

Uh, I guess. If dragons can fly, why not big birds?
