Shortening them would be pointless. I'd risk forgetting about things. [Yeah right. Her brain is like an encyclopedia.] Besides, the longer we're here, the more we learn about the place and what's the point of not keeping track of it all?

I don't see why anyone wouldn't learn as much as possible about this place, especially if it might lead to why we're here in the first place.
