[Well hey there, roomie~ There's a Neville standing in the open doorway, being careful to avoid being so presumptuous as to invite himself to sit down.] Oh. . . You're writing in that book?

[Hiya buddy, come on in and join the party... the party of one. Glancing up at Neville, Ron looks like he'd welcome any kind of distraction that didn't involve a slow and painful death.] Hey, Neville. Yeah, just figured I'd clear the air. A couple of people have been getting me confused with the other... me, weird as it is to say that.

[He nods, and takes a moment before answering. Word choice is crucial when working with someone as volatile as Ron could be.] Yes, but--well. Don't you think there's something rather off about the way Harry and Hermione have been behaving here?

[Ron gives Neville an incredulous sort of look.] You mean besides the fact that they've got wings sticking out of their backs and seem to be taking this whole 'getting pulled into another time and world' thing rather well for two people who are supposed to be trying to fight a war? Well, other than that, they're just peachy.

That's just what I mean. I think they might be enjoying themselves.

[Oh. Ron hadn't really expected his sarcasm to hit on a legitimate point.] Well... I guess, if they've been here long as they have, they shouldn't have to worry all the time....

Of course I mean Malfoy. [His mouth tightens.] According to Harry, Malfoy was their strategist while You-Know-Who made an appearance here. Hermione defends him too.

[Ron sits a bit more stiffly at that. Now that he thought about it, the others did seem to avoid talking about Malfoy around him, and the blond git does make oblique references that might make more sense if Ron allowed the possibility that Harry and Hermione saw him as a fri-.] They were just using him. Might as well; he's got no other bloody use. It's not like the lot of them go out for butterbeers and talk Quidditch.
