Post Examination: Scribe of Worry

Hermes meets someone who writes Greek badly. This must be amended immediately, because Hermes is a Letter Nazi. They get to talking about things they hide and homosexuality. It's all very exciting, and when Theta rejects considering the possibility that he could be gay, the god cries, "Denial is his door!"

With Theta: (shaky_lines)
The most terrible thief.
In this case, a closed door = intolerance. Open door = begrudged acceptance. It can be quick to shut. Take the door away. Leave an arch. Broadmindedness is a virtue. The only thing certain in this life is uncertainty.

The mention of denial is also referring to Theta's "Despite hastily scribbling out my name and writing something else, I am not on the run" and "If I do have something to hide (like my real name), I certainly wouldn't reveal it to you (you saw nothing)" and "Koschei isn't either my rival or enemy despite the fact that I'm going to consider that rivalry would be an adequate description of our relationship in a post or two" going on.

Yes, Hermes knew Theta said he wasn't gay, not that he thought gay people on a whole was blasphemy, but hurrah for...upping the reaction! Or something. My word bank is closed for renovation. You may reply out of character only.

!out of character, sails of silk, consent of the viper, isn't it a wonder
