Some more medical terms that make me chuckle. It feels like all I do is watch lecture. Cardio has been a real beast. We're up to 103 lecture hours worth of material and headed full bore towards a comprehensive final. Courtney quit her horrid job which was a huge relief. The amount of strain it was putting on us both was crushing. Even though she did the supposedly "irresponsible" thing of quitting and trusting God to provide a job for her, she's already got a temporary position lined up that's right off of Okemos, instead of having to commute all the way to Novi and back every day. I'm looking forward to a more emotional calm after these last few months of storm.
My 2 month long illness has finally ended. God is merciful. At most I have a little congestion. Getting motivated for board study when my boards aren't for another 3 months is difficult. I really need to get a serious schedule going. They key is always staying on top in med school. Fall behind and it's all catching up, all the time. Luckily I have some good friends outside of med school that bring joy to my life. Monday night CMA followed by guy's LAN with rousing games of Age of Empries III, the occasional Wednesday dinner at the Petersons, whose mastery of food is so absolute you'd think they were professionals (Jim cooks and Dani bakes. Love at first bite!), Board games on Fridays and bible studies on Saturdays. Just enough to keep me sane. Just enough.
