Believe it or not, as par my last LJ entry, it is the day before a rip roaring pharmacology exam. All I know is that when it comes to drugs, our professors prefer quantity over quality. By the end of my study I'll have learned over 100 drugs spanning the gambit of antibiotics, antivirals, cancer chemotherapy and anti-inflammatory medications, crammed into a weeks worth of lecture. Sample names include Bevacizumab, Imatinib, and Adefovir didivoxil, words unutterable by the human tongue, thought only to be language of demon possessed dyslexics. Words that will win any Scrabble tournament. Our coursepacks are littered with scattered information and useless article references, as if our professor didn't think we'd believe him. It proves he's a clinician.
In happier news, Courtney has moved to Lansing! 9 months of long distance relationship are behind me. I think it was good that it happened though. We realize we don't need to see each other every waking minute of every day. We also truly treasure the time we can spend together. I think it'll be good for her as well, once she gets a local job.
I've been able to ride my bike to and from class most days and I'm hoping to train up for the Delmac in the fall. Gotta stave off the med school snacker flab. Back to unrelenting grind
