A challenge done for
fandomverse - needed to choose a 20 list to do, so I chose my top 20 characters of all time. In alphabetical order, cause there's no way I can choose any other order!
Bridget Kelly
from Ringer
While this is a new show, I love Bridget. We haven't learned nearly all there is to know about her yet, but what
we do know shows a girl who is just looking for love and a place to call home - something she hasn't had in quite a while.
Brooke Davis
from One Tree Hill
Brooke is fierce, and she has been since season 1. My love for this show has gone up and down quite a bit, but
I keep coming back for Brooke. Her progression since season 1 has been amazing to watch.
Buffy Summers
from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I could never leave Buffy off. This show was what got me into livejournal and the fandom community, and the
character of Buffy herself is awesome. I adore early seasons Buffy more, but I still love Buffy in the later seasons -- it's
nice to see her come into her own and be free in Season 7.
Caroline Forbes
from The Vampire Diaries
Caroline is awesome. I loved her before she became a vampire, but afterwards was really the turning point. After a
few episodes of struggle, she is now more of a perfect vampire than Damon/Stefan/Katherine are. She still loves
her friends and would do anything for them, and I adore the relationship with Tyler. Hot.
Claire Littleton
from Lost
This character is the reason why I started watching Lost in the first place. I was a fan of Emilie's from her
Roswell days (which you see below) so I was forced to watch and I was surprised when I discovered Claire was
one of my favorite characters on the show. I still need to catch up on the last few seasons of Lost, so I am
mostly talking about early versions of Claire, and I loved her story from the beginning.
Damon Salvatore
from The Vampire Diaries
My favorite Salvatore brother - by far. Damon has so many layers it's impossible not to love this character.
You never know what he's going to do from episode to episode, but one thing that's for sure is that he is
finding his humanity - no matter how hard he tries to fight it - and it is exciting to watch.
Emily Thorne
from ABC's Revenge
Another new show and new character which I adore. Emily is slightly crazy, but she is 100% focused on the goal
of revenge.. I just hope her goal won't destroy her. It's interesting to watch her take someone down each week
on the show, and how she handles the little moments, the reminders from her past, etc are the times when I
love this character the most.
Illyria
from Angel
Loved Illyria on Angel, wish we could have seen more before the show ended. There were so many places they
could go with this character. I loved her moments with Wes, while pretending to be Fred -- they were some of
the saddest moments in the show. I can't put into words why I love her so much, besides her looking awesome..
but I really wish we could've gotten more about her.. which may be the main reason why I like her - the intrigue
of not knowing too much.
James 'Sawyer' Ford
from Lost
Ahh, Sawyer. The reason why I kept watching Lost after it appeared Claire was missing/dead early on. He seemed
like a character with many untold stories and I watched each week just to gain a little bit more insight into him.
Katherine Pierce
from The Vampire Diaries
Katherine is the queen of all. She has had all kinds of different moments -- and the perfect word for her is flawless.
Every seen, every word, flawless. She has had breakthrough moments, you never know which side she is on and you
never know what she will do next.
Logan Echolls
from Veronica Mars
Bad boy at heart, but deep down he is just looking for a place. For someone who understandably should have all of
the trust issues in the world, he really loves the people around him. Sure, he is snarky and has some nice comebacks,
but he is an all around great guy who I think balanced out the show perfectly.
Lorelai Gilmore
from Gilmore Girls
Lorelai is awesome. I love all her scenes, all of her lines. She is hilarious, and I always loved her quick banter with everyone.
Also, a wonderful monther. I loved Lorelai in each relationship on the show - the relationship between Lorelai and her mother
is what I think completely drew me in to her character.
Pacey Witter
from Dawson's Creek
Pacey Witter. My first tv crush. I truly believe, even with some of the mistakes that were made on his part, he is the
perfect tv boyfriend. He always knew how to say or do the right thing (except the Prom, but we'll forget that!).
Penelope Garcia
from Criminal Minds
She holds the team together, in my opinion. She is quirky, funny and down to earth and a ray of color on a
show that is about crime. I love her relationship with Morgan and with JJ.
Rachel Green
from Friends
I flipped back and forth over the years on who was my favourite Friends' character - Rachel or Phoebe. Now that
the show has been over for a while (and I watch repeats all the time, btw!) I have to go with Rachel. I realized that
every story/episode that was my favorite the main focus of the story was Rachel. I also love her change from Season 1 to
Season 10. In season 1 we see a spoiled girl who doesn't know how to do anything for herself. 10 years later, we see someone
who is accomplished, confident and has found herself.
Seth Cohen
from The OC
I always had a soft spot for Seth in the beginning of the series as he was the kid who was always picked on, and was
in love with the popular girl. It was beautiful to watch Seth and Summer find each other and then grow together.
Spike
from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Spike is hot. He has attitude and has changed a lot throughout the series. Would Spike of Season 2 sacrifice himself for
other people, or even the world? I highly doubt it. I always knew Spike was going to come through, and that he really
did love Buffy (my OTP), and I am so glad that he ended up getting some redemption in the end.
Summer Roberts
from The OC
Summer is awesome. At some points throughout the series her character did feel a little bit off to me, but she was
someone who was trying to find out where she belonged. I love how she and Seth were able to have their happy ending.
Tess Harding
from Roswell
Probably not a popular opinion, but I loved it when Tess came to town on Roswell. She was interesting, didn't
follow the mold of the show, and at first just seemed like a girl that wanted to belong somewhere. In the end, she
gave up her own life to save her sons' and the rest of the groups'. I was sad to see her go, but I'm happy they ended her
character on that note - she deserved that moment.
Veronica Mars
from Veronica Mars
Love Veronica Mars as a character. She doesn't back down, and will do anything to protect the people she cares about. She will
always stand up for what is right, and nobody will have your back better than Veronica Mars.
