Ok so I have made a right balls up of my custom firmware PSP I had.
I got me a new complete shell for it (because it was a second hand one when I got it and it's abit scratched and stuff)
My stuff arrived today, and so I set about trying to replace the case. What a mistake to make
I really didnt know how complicated it was going to be to get it from old case to new one, it was dead fiddly. I got so far and thought 'Ok this is way too complex)
By this time I had got the screen off.
So I decided to just go with the faceplate. Tried to put it back together, had all kinds of problems reconnecting to these things
http://www.sounddevices.com/notes/wp-content/uploads/788t-unlocking-the-ribbon-c.jpg the ones on the psp are smaller and as I found out brittle
I broke one, and then another so now if I do manage to get it back togehter the screen isnt connected properly or the d-pad to the motherboard
I could cry, I made a complete balls up of it and now it is broken and not very fixable
I could get another PSP with custom firmware but they are in short supply now, even on ebay.
Im a fool
I am watching one on ebay at the mo, I just hope it will be ok, not buying it just yet
But yes note to all if you wanna try something fiddly like replacing a PSP casing, make sure you are very very careful.
Now I got bits of dismantled PSP spread about my desk
I still have my PSP slim, but now I can't play my Playstation 1 games *sigh*
