Playing around with my camera and a homemade light tent today...
Fished this out of my jewelry box looking for things to test on. Got it from my mom, who had gotten it from Uncle Buddy after his death. I had hoped to show my Calligraphy instructor to see if she could tell me what it means, and forgot to ask her. Anyone have any ideas?
It kind of reminds me of a red hot air balloon or maybe a crown. And I know some of the characters look familiar (from my calligraphy class) but I'm having a major brain fart and can't place 'em. The scratches are in the plastic -- these weren't the best light tent photos. There are two pins in plastic baggies stapled together, but three baggies in all (I guess one is missing?).
Another view.
The back.
Anyway. Had the day off. Dan is sick :( And so after I dropped my brother off at the airport this morning, and while Dan slept, I played around on the camera.
All natural light (a la balcony) filtered through a homemade light tent (cardboard and white plastic garbage bags).
Buddha.
Buddha.
Dead bee.
Dead bee. It was kind of like looking under a microscope.
