To Sword:
It is not a matter of fault, Sword. You must realize that I am being paid as a professional with certain qualifications to perform an important assignment. My superiors trusted me, and the first time I failed, they still agreed to give me a second chance. Failure twice is not acceptable. Still, I am grateful that I got to see you again and may still get to see you. You mustn't feel guilty. Time with you, although brief, has made the trial worth it.
I'm not sure how soon I'll be able to go and see you. I do have to focus on my work if I am to have any hope of redeeming myself to spare myself exile to cold and barren Russia. If I find a moment, I will try and see you. Where are you exactly now? How far from Long Island?
With hope,
Ky
