Oh livejournal, how I've missed our precious late night conversations. You are the best on again-off again girlfriend a guy could ever have. As a study-abroad student, it is my privilege as well as my duty to keep a blog. Therefore, I'm elated to announce that we are officially back together. Maybe one day we'll even be facebook official, though in the immortal words of Fabolous "it takes time to get back from the backseat to the passenger."
For those that decide to follow my haggis-filled adventures, I apologize for the username. I wasn't the cleverest of boys in my younger days. Also, if you ever want to severely judge me, here's my 8th grade livejournal (this current one was founded the summer going into 9th grade, I believe):

Long story short: All of the Northeastern kids minus one flew in together. None of us slept, there was some quality bonding time, a layover in Heathrow, and a bus ride to home sweet home.
NOTE: There's a drunk naked guy yelling loudly outside in the courtyard...it's currently 3 AM on a Thursday. But I digress,
My memory of the first few days is a little shady but I think it consisted of meeting hoards of people I will probably never have the privilege of knowing and of going to various pubs far more often than necessary. There was also an orientation adventure that featured the saddest sandwich I've ever eaten. It had two pieces of bread, a lil' piece of butter, and two unfortunate pieces of ham. Speaking of sad, it's getting close to 3:30 AM and I have no business being awake. I'll probably do a full formal update tomorrow.
I'll leave you with my overall thoughts so far:
This has been an enjoyable experience. I've met some great people, consumed bundles of alcohol, and learned that crisps mean chips and chips mean fries. I will confess that I get homesick on occasion, but the experiences I've had outweigh those feelings. The past two or three days have been challenging for unrelated reasons, but I'm still having a great time. Cheers!
