Favorite album of the now: The Bedside Drama: A Petite Tragedy
Album: The Bedside Drama: A Petite Tragedy by of Montreal
So this is the best album I've heard in forever. It tells the story of a couple as they fall in and out of love, starting with their meeting and courtship and ending with their separation (and one of their deaths). Notable tracks on this album are:
Happy Yellow Bumblebee
Sing You a Lovesong (arguabley the coolest example of lyrical storytelling evar)
My Darling, I've Forgotten (most depressing song I've ever heard but really beautiful in its melancholy)
You Feel You Must Go (Don't Go!)
Just Recently Lost Something of Importance
Though really you can't go wrong with any of them. Some are vocal, and a couple are instrumental. You can listen to individual tracks as well, but it's much, much better when listened to as a whole. It's wonderful, vibrant, heartbreak, etc, etc.
The coolest title on the album would definitely include "The Couple in Bed Together Under a Warm Blanket Wrapped Up in Each Others's Arms Asleep", a beautiful instrumental track. It seems like typical early of Montreal, pre techno random stuff and all lovey-dovey and twee. Stylistically it is similar to Coquelicot Asleep in the Poppies, but where as Coquelicot is all about random shit all thrown together at once, Bedside Drama has something subtlety beautiful. Sorry guys, I just had to rant about it. :) Please go check it out if you get the chance.

Anyway it's an awesome song. :)Wish I could figure out how to stream it for you guys so you could fall in love with it as surely as I have.
