So the trip this past weekend was great! We left Thursday afternoon and drove up to Gainesville. We stayed at Josh's brother and sister-in-law's new place; ( Jake and Ann's). We had dinner with them and some of their friends.
Then, Friday morning, Josh and I drove out to Ocala to meet up with his parents and brother for lunch. Afterwards, we drove out to see where Jake was working. He's a Construction Project Manager with Pulte Homes. We then drove back to Gainesville and got ready for our flights.
The first flight was to Atlanta, GA, and it was on a prop plane. I really don't like those planes. They're too small. I was really happy when we finally landed and that the next flight to Shreveport, LA, was a bigger jet. About the size of the plane I normally fly on to go to North Carolina. The Hotel was really nice. We stayed at a Best Western Suits in the downtown area.
Saturday: We had brunch with some of the family and friends, and I got to meet the Groom, Who is Josh's cousin. After that we went back to the Hotel to change, then Josh, Clair (Josh's Mom), and I went out to the Crawfish festival that was going on downtown. We got some Crawfish, or Mudbugs as they call them there, and looked around at the booths selling stuff. Then we headed back to get changed for the wedding. It was a really sweet wedding, and the reception was fun. I wish I could've gotten Josh to dance. He really doesn't like dancing though...but that's ok.
Sunday: We went down and had breakfast with all the family that were staying in the same hotel as us. Plans were made to go out to Toledo Bend for a BBQ that evening. We left early and went out to Natchitoches to see Northwestern, the school that Richard (Josh's Dad) had gone to. We also went shopping and had lunch. On the way out of the town, we passed a church that was across the street from the main entrance to the school. And on it's sign it said "The end is near - we'll see you next Fall." Funny, uh?
Monday we had our flights back to Gainesville, and Josh and I drove home from the airport. I was expecting traffic to be worse than it actually was.
I'm having trouble uploading my pictures to Photobucket, the page takes FOREVER to load, if it ever does. I've been thinking about switching to a different image hosting site. But we'll see.
Friday is just a few days away and I'm excited. I can't wait to move!
