Also in this week's Valley Advocate is a really nice story by my editor. It's called
Wind, Power and Wilderness and it is about the proposed wind farm on Crum Hill in Florida, Mass. I remember Florida from passing through it on Route 2 many times, going back and forth from Troy, N.Y., where brother Thirdly went to college. There were a couple of signs by the road that said "Welcome to Florida." I think Thirdly and I took pictures of ourselves next to one of those signs, in winter when the landscape was all white with snow.
There is also the
latest in a series of letters (
Miller Again,
Miller, Malthus and More, and
Miller Time) to the editor on my
Smith's Young Republican story. Also see
this prospective letter in a local blog, as well as the cross post on
this blog (you have to scroll down), where
I left a comment for the writer. It's probably the most response to any of the stories I've written for the Valley Advocate in my time there.
