Home stretch for realz!
I packed up Pascal and power cord. I am going to Panera (for real, this time) straight after work. At minimum, I will reach 25,000 words on the fic.
But my real goal is to finish the story, which, by my best guess, will more likely be 4K to 5K words.
If I achieve this goal, I am letting myself have a smoothie AND a pastry as a reward for the drive home. I just need to decide which pastry: Bear claw? Chocolate? Pecan roll? *sigh*
... with this icon, I feel like Toph Bei Fong is laughing at my lofty ambition to finish a fanfic this evening. It is both motivating and discouraging at the same time. ;-)
In other news, Mom and I watched Castle last night. I meant to post a reaction blurb, but then I actually went to bed just because she was teasing me that I wouldn't (I had told her we couldn't watch another ep of our other show because I was tired and I wanted to get to bed early). Anyway, will maybe post said reaction on my lunch break, but for now, all I can't resist squeeing about is NOT ONLY IS THE NEW POLICE CHIEF A WOMAN, BUT IT'S FREAKIN' CASSIDY YATES!!!!!
Okay. Now. I'm signing off. To the RL job. Then fanfic. Then pastries. That is my day.
