Two skirts were before me

I finally finished up some experimentation with skirt patterns for Rapunzel, and I could use y'all's opinion on the results.

Skirt A (Full)

For this skirt, I used the New Look pattern #6675, which has an extremely full skirt. I made it less full by about six inches, but I love the shape of the center panel and the feminine fullness of it.

However, if I use this skirt I won't be able to use the satin from the bridesmaid gown which I already have on hand.

Skirt A (Full)

I would also probably have to add a bit to the bottom, since shown here it's unhemmed.

Skirt B (Narrow)

This is the second choice. I made this skirt first, using the 6-gore skirt pattern from Brown Paper Patterns, and incorporating the necessary alterations to fit the bridesmaid satin.

Skirt B (Narrow)

It's close, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the fullness of it. Moving around, it seemed like Rapunzel had just a wee bit more freedom of movement.

What do you guys think?

I suppose I could always go ahead and cut and combine the bridesmaid satin in the Skirt B style and baste in the center panel for a better idea of how it will hang with the good material.

Next steps: Choose one of these two skirts, buy necessary fabric. Draw and size patterns for embroidery.
