In an effort to post more interesting things than To Do lists, I bring a couple of new songs on my radar.
What Do I Know of Holy? - Addison Road
This one's from my sister, and at some point I have to remember to buy it on iTunes. But the lyrics are some of the best I've ever heard as far as capturing a person's moment of truth with God. The melody and the singer's voice are pretty great too.

It's Me - Sara Groves
Sara Groves is quite possibly my favorite lyricist of all time. This isn't the first time she's treated on the harder side of marriage as a theme for a song. As a single person living in a world full of Hollywood packaged messages about what "romance" is, I really appreciate that someone out there is painting a fuller, more realistic picture. And in some ways kind of awed that she would bare her private pain in such a way. In any case, this song is cutting, but in a stark, honest, reflective kind of a way. I've never experienced what she's describing, but I've witnessed it.
(I would just listen to this one, not watch the music video. I mean, it seems fine, but I think it would put faces on the 'characters' of the song, and it's better to just listen the first few times).
