I have achieved communication!!
So I just got off the phone with an owner of what I'm assuming is an auto repair place in Puerto Rico. One of the other managers has been asking me to help with Spanish-related account issues here and there. I just had a great conversation with the owner of the company. It helped that he was really friendly, but I was also more relaxed initiating the call than I have been historically.
*points to icon* This is how giddy having success with my Spanish in the real world makes me. Especially if it's job-related. It's an affirmation that my career goals are right on track, no need for second-guessing.
(Seriously, the smile on my face was that big after I got off the phone. I am such a geek. If only I could use two icons per post; I would use my Daniel!Linguist icon too *GG*)
