To sleep, perchance to dream...

I never thought I'd say this, but maybe I need to learn how to keep my mouth shut.

So I dreamed that someone got me some new kind of Tamagotchi (or maybe it was a Tamagotchi game for the DS or something) and a Tamagotchi computer game, and I was trying to do both at once; the computer game one allowed me to try to customize (color, size, etc.) my Tamagotchi before it hatched, and the video game one was just normal. Anyway, I told the computer one to make it small and green (it specifically said that the green code might not work, and small Tamagotchis usually came in red, blue, and purple, none of which are really my favorite color) and then it made, or programmed, or something, this egg in the real world that I assume was made of plastic. Anyway, I took the egg out of its package and tried to warm it with my hands, because I have this idea that all eggs must be warmed to hatch, like rubbing a lamp, but while the egg was sort of transparent, its insides were all cloudy because it had gunk all over the inside of its shell. But then, while everyone who was there (I know my grandma and my brother were there, so I guess the rest of my family was, too) watched and made comments and questions and were like oh geez Ash is weird and I ignored them, I noticed a little green thing inside the egg that started throwing itself against the shell, and it started to break it, so I started to help it, and the inside of the shell was really gross, but then it got out and I was like yay Tamagotchi!

It was sort of like a little green oval thing with black eyes, and it morphed into a segmented caterpillar thing, but it was scared of me and kept running away around the kitchen. I would catch it, but I had to be really careful because it seemed to be made of soft clay and if I held it too hard, it would get deformed and I couldn't tell if that hurt it or not. Anyway, that went on for a while, and then my family got bored, and I think there was a time lapse or something and I let the Tamagotchi be for a while and made sure to take care of it through the computer game. I named it Sam.

Anyway, I think the dream skipped again, and the Tamagotchi somehow got a human representation as well as its little caterpillar thing, and he was tall and built somewhat thickly, but not fat or bulky, and in the dream I thought he looked a bit like Sammy from camp, but looking back in my awake state, he really didn't except for the curly hair. Anyway, I also became a girl named Ashley with light brown hair, and I think I might've been dreaming that I was my friend Ashley, but I was significantly taller than her, so I dunno. Anyway, Sam the Tamagotchi and I went to some kind of amusement park. Somehow we got involved in some kind of performance, but it was also sort of real? There was a group of innocent people with a couple heroes, and a bunch of badguys, and at one point the badguys were in a clump in the middle and everyone else was on the outskirts of the stage(?), and the badguys blew darts first at one side, so I ducked behind whoever was in front of me, and then they blew darts at my side, so everyone went down except for me, but I crouched there and wondered if that was okay, since technically they hadn't hit me. Anyway, that was their last stand or something, because then I think something happened, and the badguys blew one last round of darts and then died, but then I also had to lie down and be dead or unconscious or whatever (I didn't know if the darts were poisoned or just drugged) while the rest of the good guys came and dragged us to the center of the stage and worried about us and stuff. It was very hard to be convincingly dead/unconscious, because I kept getting uncomfortable, and eventually I realized I was really tense and I started to relax, and they were all like, "Oh hey, Ashley's coming around!" and I was like, oh, okay, I guess they were just drugged. So everyone else must have been confused, too, because they started waking up after that, and then I sort of left first-person perspective and hovered from a kind of bird's eye view, and everyone was all lying in the snow, gradually regaining consciousness, and a couple of the people lying in Ashley's little clump of people were from .hack//, which was interesting, and a couple people were standing around Sam the Tamagotchi, who wasn't waking up, and I (the disembodied third-person perspective ghost) realized that I had to find his little caterpillar Tamagotchi form to see if he was okay and maybe help him, because his human form was just a representation that couldn't really be acted upon.

And then I woke up.
