Name: Saburo Sakai
Age: 17
Star Sign: Sagittarius (December 18)
Report Card: B
Appearance: Saburo is of an impressive height; standing six feet, two inches, he towers over a good many of his classmates. Pale and slender, he carries an air of sophistication, with delicate cupid-bow lips pursed in prolific melancholy, and the wicked sheen of dangling metal. Sleek strands of dusky ebon fall flat against gaunt cheekbones, partially obscuring his vision.
Personality: An absolute sweetheart; Saburo is a kindly young man who does not place much value on the outward appearance of others. On the contrary, he spends an inordinate amount of time cultivating his own flawless countenance. Antagonized for his vaguely effeminate appearance, Saburo has developed a deeply-rooted psychological complex. He is plagued with intense bouts of insecurity, wherein he does not believe himself worthy of intimate affection. He is, however, something of a sex fiend.
Generally playful, his serious side is a force to be reckoned with. Sensitive to a fault, he is easily offended. His otherwise keen sense of justice lands him in trouble more often than he'd prefer.

Family:
Hideyuki Sakai: A stately, old-fashioned man. A firm believer in the laws of natural aristocracy, he has raised his grandson to appreciate the value of hard work and dedication. Saburo enjoys his tutelage, and takes delight in committing various anecdotes to memory.
Hideaki Sakai: A self-righteous militant. Mandated that his son be named after the famous World War II fighter pilot. Cruel and uncaring, his only loyalty is to the government. He fiercely disapproves of Saburo’s manner of dress, but there is little he can do to stop him. Unaware of the vast political freedom the boy is afforded under the care of his grandfather, he is certain that his only child will one day follow in his footsteps.
Miki Sakai: Jailed by her own husband shortly after the birth of their son, on the charge of conspiring against the Dictator. It is likely she is dead.
Gemma: An obedient and well-behaved pet, of which Saburo is enamored.
Extracurricular Activities:
Involved in so many that, despite his intelligence, his grades suffer for it.
On the whole, he favours activities which require repetition.
Captain of the Swim Team: A coveted position, one he holds utmost pride in. He spends long hours at the pool, swimming laps and otherwise conditioning his body.
Chemistry Club: Perhaps the only occasion in which he willingly leaves the comfort of his rigid lifestyle. He delights in making things explode. He's in it for the thrill of it all. And being so mathematically-inclined, he has some talent for it.
Astrology Club: He finds a certain peace in star-gazing, and thus makes time to attend the weekly meetings to show his support for the subject, however hectic his schedule.
Photography: He favors a camera with film, which he can develop by hand. The darkroom has become his own, private sanctuary.
Piano: Long, spindly fingers come in handy for such an aptitude. His father signed him up for lessons at an early age, and he took to them with eager abandon. Now quite proficient, he takes great pleasure in coming home from a long day at school and tickling the old ivories.
Go: A game at which he is quite adept.
Classroom Behavior: Quiet and studious, he rarely speaks out of turn.
Chosen Subject: Chemistry.
Student Relationships:
Sayo Hironari: Acquaintances since early childhood, when the unwitting Saburo was declared boyfriend material by Sayo and forced into an oddcouple relationship-one which lasted several days, at most. The two maintain a loose companionship. Saburo is willing to put up with her antics for as long as his sanity permits, and Sayo, having declared him the ultimate badass, takes great delight in occupying his time.
Toshio Kurosawa: Best friends since early junior high, when their company was forced upon one another in gym class. Saburo was often teased for his effeminate mannerisms, much to Toshio's displeasure. Slowly, Saburo began to see Toshio as a person he could trust, and allowed the other boy to take charge of his world, leading him on all sorts of outings. Now, they are nigh inseparable.
Sakie Tobe: As the daughter of a family friend, Sakie and Saburo have known each other for quite some time. They hang out together at government functions for lack of anything better to do, but Saburo can't really claim to know too much about her. He thinks she is a nice girl, but has no real desire to further their relationship, especially after his father dropped hints as to their compatibility.
Yuichi Kikumaru:
Kaori Matano: A girl in whom he holds a profound interest. Attracted to her in ways he cannot quite explain, Saburo finds himself constantly vying for her affection from amidst a sea of other admirers. He does his best to keep an eye out for her, but his help is not always appreciated. The subsequent rift in their relationship was cause for a goodly amount of hurt and anxiety. It is only when she recognizes the truth of his words regarding classmate Keizou that they reconnect. As boyfriend and girlfriend, the two spend increased amounts of time in each other's company. He is very affectionate towards her, and will not hesitate to cater to her every whim. All the same, a very small part of him has yet to forgive her for doubting his word.
Umeka Kaza: Saburo isn't in the least bit bothered by her wayward sexuality. In fact, he finds her quite the attractive young woman. He fiercely admires her resilient nature, and won't stand for anyone giving her trouble.
Aika Sakura:
Masayuki Fujimura:
Keizou Tomochika: A boy whom Saburo has never quite liked, despite early attempts at friendship. With time, minor annoyance changed into bitter mistrust, and-eventually-burning hatred. Saburo sees Keizou as the embodiment of Japan's troubles. That kids like him are the reason the horrible monstrosity that is Battle Royale even exists.
Luna Akisa: A girl with whom Saburo fails to find himself impressed. Put off by her aggressive demeanor, he works hard at maintaining a distance.
Aya Eun-Kyung:
Imari Ozawa:
Keitaro Hanzo:
Kishi Yoshii:
Masakazu Yukio:
Sachi Mori:
Midori Sato: When they talk, it's casual. Saburo doesn't trust her much, but does his best to be polite.
Hayato Fuschida:
Kentaro Fukushima:
Takeru Iseki: He gets along with him okay, when the other isn't posing a threat to his masculinity.
Minami Satsuya: In Saburo's mind, she's a nice girl-albeit a tad dull. He doesn't hold much of an interest in theatre, the subject which dictates her passion. As such, he finds it difficult to connect with Minami. Their conversations are generally superficial, and are oftentimes restricted to basic pleasantries.
Daichi Sato: The two spend a lot of time together after school, playing Go. Although nothing more than casual opponents, Saburo feels comfortable and at ease around Daichi.
SAI: Weird though she is, Saburo can't help but find something likeable about SAI. Even if she does make repeated lewd innuendo.
Zen Yukio: Saburo remains strangely apathetic the other boy's existence, and so has no real opinion of him. When they talk, it is only out of necessity, and not any real desire to make friends.
Jun Motomichi: Like most of his classmates, Saburo finds Jun's antisocial habits highly distressing.
