Help!

Nov 28, 2005 12:09

OK, so, for my directing class, I need to direct a scene.

So here's where the needing help comes in:

Could you please tell me your favorite scene? It can be from a book, a movie, a short story, anything but a musical.

Thank you!

The scene from (suprise)The Princess Bride right after Westley saves Buttercup from Vizzini and they argue and she realizes it is him after pushing him off the cliff. Best. Scene. Ever.

"Now you see the violence inherent in the system! HELP HELP I'm being repressed!"

lots of good lines in that scene. plus it's funny.

monty python & the holy grail is the best grail-related movie involving rabbits...ever.

laundry and bourbon is a great scene to direct...i'm actually doing one from peter schaffer's halloween...also. the seagull by anton chekhov is full of fabulous beats between nina and treplev. streetcar named desire is another. with blanche and stanley...call me if you need anything.

yes! A Streetcar Named Desire has some of the best melodramatic scenes of all time. anything with blanche in it would be a lot of fun to direct. especially the scenes towards the end.

the boardroom scene from Dogma, hell, just about any scene from dogma, or if Dogma doesn't get your interest, anything from Kevin Smith, whether you wanna go chasing amy or clerks, or even mallrats, all great writing which is fun to direct, read, and perform.
