I hate nights when I'm so busy that I end up eating bread and loads of processed food for dinner. For whatever reason when I eat loads of processed food I get a weird taste in my mouth afterwards.

Anyways behind the cut are my thoughts of Planet of the Dead. Spoilers of course.

This special was a complete letdown for me. I have to admit that I even like the crappy Christmas Special, cybermen and all, better than this. First of all I really hated Christina as soon as I saw her stealing that chalice thing. She was such a complete Mary Sue and really did not interest me at all. I hope to God they don't bring her back.

Just because: 1.) She's a thief. 2.) The Doctor shouldn't have pretty, young women companions all the time.

As for #1, I think it would be completely OOC, (which it kinda was for him to let her go at the end,) for him to be traveling with a thief. Isn't that why Adam from Series 1 got booted, sort of? You couldn't trust her at all.

And for #2, I really would love to see some alien species or a guy come on board as a companion. Donna and Jack are the only two real companions that haven't fit the stereotype. It's kinda getting old. Not to mention it always leads to some small sexual attraction or kiss. (Again what is up with Ten falling in love with random females?) I can sort of get Ten/Rose, but you have to admit it is OOC for him to continually falling for human women, after all those years he didn't.

Oh and what was all that "You look like a Time Lord" thing? I got it as if he was hinting she may be one, which I really hope not, but I could see them later turning her into the Rani or Romana.

Anyway, enough Christina bashing. The plot was a complete bore-fest for me. There was no real wondering what happened or how to get out. The whole problem seemed like it was solved in a snap. And we don't even get to come to know the other passengers besides a couple moments.

I did like the little spooky prophecy at the end though and wished that's where it ended and he was like cry me a river Christina, instead of freeing her.

Oh and I did like Malcolm. He was really cute. And I liked the Doctor's semi-emoness when he talked about Donna.

But overall I was simply disappointed. Oh and I just found out that RTD said he wanted to recreate the sort of tone as the movie Charade had, which makes me even sadder, because Christina was nothing even close to Audrey Hepburn in that movie.

Also I've been watching more of Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars, sadly after watching LoM and some later eps of A2A, I've become kinda sad how they've changed Gene Hunt's character. He's a complete jerk in LoM, but I don't know if it's Sam's death or the fact that Alex is a woman that he's become a tad bit "nicer". The writers are also really been pushed for Gene/Alex, which I actually ship, but I think from what I've seen so far it's a bit too much, too forced.
