In the mountains now. Yesterday Dad and I hiked up to some giant cross in the Tartar mountains. The hike up was tourture but the view from the top was beautiful and the desent was really easy and enjoyable. The actual forrest was obvieously over used. If one strayed from the path there were obvieous signs of human waste such as shit, shit encrusted tisshue, and dirty tampons. It reminded me of why I hate hiking durring tourist season or in an area that is highly used.
The view from the top of the mountain, where the cross was at, reminded me of the view at the top of "Old Rag." It was the same in that on one side of the view was just trees and mountains while on the other side was the over view of the town below. Only in this case it was the city of Zakopane and not whatever little towns the Blue Ridge mountains over look and also the mountains here in Zakopane seemed much bigger.
