Yesterday we left Belarus. The six days we were there was quite an 'experience.' Everyone had gold teeth. There front teeth were gold capped. Usually they were gold capped in just a few places, but there were a hand-full of people who had an entire gleaming mouth of gold. It reminded me of DMX.
Most people didn't bathe reguarly. The people either smelled strongly of body odor or of cheap cologne. The women wore open-toed sandals but their feet were brown with dirt and their toe-nails had dirt beneath them. The fabric that peoples clothes were made of was so thin that you could see through it to the mens nipples and the womens bras. Allll the womens bras. Including the really old gross ones. It deffinetly wasn't hot.
Everything was constructed of cheap placsics. The bathroom mirror frame and the lamps in rooms of houses. The toilet seat bent under my weight. There was one point on a government building where some of the trim around a window frame was worn away, underneath the plaster that had worn away was syrofome. Cheap strofome...
There were hundreds of thousands of stray cats and dogs. Puppies and kitties. For the most part they looked healthy though, and they didn't act too skittish. I guess thats a sign that the people there treat them well.
I ask one girl what there was to do for fun there in Pinsk. She replied telling me about a shitty disco-tech, a filthy beach along a river that was unhealthy to swim in, and then she said drinking. Everyone there drinks a huge amount.
There were few cars on the roads but the few that were driven were driven horribly and carelessly. People would screech their tires and plow through the small pot-holed streets and you'd hear and see that the shocks on the peoples cars were either non-existant or very loose. You'd think they would drive their cars a bit more carefully.....
