If you can find the time, like I did, to " adopt " a US Soldier on Facebook, or not.. Please do. I'm sharing with you something that almost made me cry over my coffee this morning. Here's the link www.adoptaussoldier.org . You will be very glad you did, and here's why...

Thank You

Hello Sam,

You know most times people stop me in uniform when I was back in the states and thank me for my service, but today I want to thank all of your family for taking the time to write and be a part of my journey which at times can be very rough. Say hello to Jenn, Katie, Becca (I hope she feels better very soon), Kimmi and Michael from Iraq. I am having a down day today which is rare so I am here catching up  on some emails and schoolwork. I am trying to get my degree in Emergency Planning and Disaster Management which is proving to be a struggle with my current schedule. My sons both had birthdays recently my oldest was on April 29, and my youngest was two days ago, I miss them so much but time is moving so that's what keeps me sane. My birthday is on June 2, I will be 35 years young lol.  I really feel much older than that because I have to constantly wear alot of gear and ammunition during my missions but I am going to try and stop complaining because I have my health, strength all my limbs and most importantly life and now new friends so I am thankful. I am not sure if you have my address but its xxxx xxxxx xxxxxxx APO AE 09342. Well I am going to try and catch up on school work, hope to you to hear soon.and say hello to everyone for me.  I am trying to see if I find a picture of myself or of my family to send to you guys...

If that email doesn't say something about what this particular new friend and defender of my freedom feels for someone just emailing her, then ..  I really don't have any words to say.
