Busy day today - we're still trying to fit in things that we were not able to get done during the month of December.
AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY - multiple exhibits closing today and next Sunday
Tornado Alley IMAX - storm chasers, where one group was collecting data to help scientists predict what storms will produce tornadoes and another man was working on creating a man-made tank so that he could film inside a tornado. The images of the storms/tornadoes was really impressive, but the destruction they cause is just insane.
Frogs: A Chorus of Color
This was a live animal exhibit, so that was cool to see only some of the many many frogs species. One of the signs said that frogs are one of the most vulnerable creatures as natural habitats are destroyed and they are the some of the first to become endangered.
The World's Largest Dinosaurs
A really cool exhibit about how such large creatures would have been able to live - explained how and why their necks were so long, how they can tell how much they would have weighed based on the size of their leg bones, what they would have likely eaten and how much and speculated how their heart and lungs would have worked.
For doing so much, it was a fairly relaxed endeavor. We fit them in with plenty of time and got something to eat at UNO afterwards.
All in all - not a bad day.
Back to work tomorrow. Not really excited about that, but I guess it had to happen sometime.
