Artist Rules - Round 3
Here's the Artist Rules post I promised. hee. Sign-ups start in a week, but I wanted to make a post about the rules so that everybody knows what to expect this round. If you have any questions, feel free to comment here. You can also PM me, wolfish_willow.
2013 Artist Rules
1. We're using the two-tiered system again this year!
First Tier: One piece of art (not an icon, but maybe a banner for the story, for example)
Second Tier: Two pieces of art
Of course you're welcome to create more if inspiration strikes!
2. Any type of art is welcome: original illustration, photo manip, vids, etc. We're also allowing fanmixes, but you must include cover art. If you sign up for the second tier, you must still include a second piece of art with the fanmix.
3. Art or vids can be of any rating (though you might want to consult with your writer).
4. You can post your artwork at your journal or site. Do not f-lock your posts. We'll be creating a master list of links here at the comm after posting finishes.
5. The rules have changed a bit this year, you can sign up to BOTH write AND do art. But please be sure you'll be able to commit to both if you decide to sign up.
6. Art and vids must be new and not posted anywhere before your posting date.
7. Artists must stay in communication with mods through check ins, and with their assigned author.
8. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
Schedule/Deadlines
June 22nd - Sign-ups start
July 13th - Writer sign-ups end
August 10th - 1st Check in
August 24th - 2nd Check in
September 21st - Rough Drafts due + Art signs-up end
September 25th - Claims
October 19th - Artist Check-in
November 2nd - Art Drafts due
November 11th - Staggered posting starts
I'm willing to tweak the schedule if we don't get enough people signed up. I'm also going back and forth on keeping the Claims on the 25th (which is a Wednesday) or moving them to the 28th (a Saturday). Originally I didn't want to make everyone wait a week, but I also realize that Saturdays are easier on a lot of people. So just let me know and I'll see if it needs changing. I figure that's far enough in the future it shouldn't cause too many issues. *crosses fingers*
