WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Americans, both Republican and Democrat alike were shocked on Saturday to learn that recent Presidential candidate John Kerry, and Vice-Presidential Candidate John Edwards had committed suicde.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, House of Representatives minority leader, said when the Senator had been missing for four hours, she began to worry and tried to contact former Senator John Edwards, to see if he knew of Kerry's where abouts.

I do not know the exact circumstances, which lead my husband to such a drastic measure, but I am confident that the entire truth of this matter will come to light, and that my husband, my..." These were the last words to the press by Teresa Heinz Kerry, now widow of two U.S. Senators had made, before she collapsed, and was taken away from the press conference held earlier today.
Many Americans, especially the over 55 million people who voted to elect Kerry/Edwards, are now trying to imagine what would have happened if the two were elected, and what implications these events will now have on the future of the Democratic Party.
