what a weekend.....
This past weekend was great in SO many ways
Rehearsals all week were pretty good. Friday we had a football game WHS made the Group IV playoffs. So we got on the busses and we were on our way to Cherokee HS in Marlton. HUGE ASS SCHOOL! Band had a good show. Football team had its first loss of the season. There is still the Thanksgiving day game vs Delsea Regional HS. Its at home though so its all good. Saturday we had rehearsal from 9-5. It went pretty well. After rehearsal the parents cooked us this HUGE dinner. Then me, Cocoa, Erin, Chris, AnnMarie and Katie were on our way to the hotel. We decided to drive up that night so we could sleep in. Left around 6:30 and got there before 10. So we made pretty good time. Checked into our rooms. Then it was time for the party to begin. We played cards, spin the bottle, and drank. It was great. I had a shot of Jack Daniels. YUCK! I can drink vodka straight just fine, but not JD, that shit burned. I didn't get sick though. So then we went to bed. Got up early around 8 am. Showered and got ready. We checked out and stopped for breakfast along the way. Then got to the stadium. Met the kids and then it was time for warm up. The girls had a pretty good warm up. We met the band and it was time to perform. The band's performance was eh, but the guard did really well. We ended up being 3rd. It was tight though. Susquehanna Twp - 95.85, us - 95.9, Middle Twp - 96.0 and Pocono Mtn. West - 96.75. One judge did screw us up. We were first in IA Visual with a 19.8 and then 7th in EA Visual with an 18.6. How did that happen?!? Oh well, but it would have been nice to win. I was happy with the guards placement. 5th place with an 18.5. Middle - 18.7, ST - 18.9, Steel Valley - 19.0, PMW - 19.1. Only .6 out of first place. It was a great time. I could not have been happier. Now I really can't wait for indoor to start. Setting up a meeting the the uniform designer, its great not having to really worry about that part. Just time to design some flags and get the rest of the show together. Raul I need to talk to you about some stuff about indoor!!!!!! The song I picked was "Photograph" - by Nickelback. Its a great song. And its going to be a great season!!! I can't wait for the first week of December when rehearsals start.
