SED May, a day early
Lots of stuff for wonderfulness:
-A short work day today
-A beautiful, sunny day (though it started out rather overcast and gloomy)
-Husband finally got his vehicle up and running. Only 3 tires took air, the fourth flat refused (ha-ha!). He called and asked if we had money to cover the cost of a new tire, I said sure. Later, when he came to pick me up from work, he had remembered that he had a never ever used before spare tire, and it was holding air nicely. However, his car just wasn't able to start, might need a new battery. Son#1 had offered me his (newish) battery from his old Jeep a few days earlier, and I didn't need it (needed a starter, though), there's the new battery.
-one of the cherry trees had a rather bad break on one of the branches a tearing break, not a clean one) and I had to do some impromptu surgery on it before an infection set in. Couldn't remember what was needed t cover the wound, but I found that electrical tape and winding it like a sprained ankle worked wonders. Am sad at the loss of the branches, though. :(
-And I went forth (while still feeling flush from the tree repair) and pruned the thimbleberry patch quite viciously. It needed it, a huge amount of galls now gone from last year.
-And the Pussy Willow had a record number of catkins this year. :)
Now I gotta get back to work on various projects for MISTI.
