hmmm.... i don't think you realise just how big perth is - you are reallly quite close to the city. Not to mention a train trip would only be max 15-20 minutes.
I used to go to tafe in thornlie, had friends who lived in armadale; I know how big perth is :P - but like I said, I have been living close to the city the last few times (mainly north of the river), I'm just spoilt; ok fine, ill change the word 'outskirts' :P
haha.. ok, so i'm being picky because i really do live in the outskirts, but saying that, i was lucky compared to my old boss who lived in Clarkson.
I think travelling a "fair" distance is just something you get used to if you want to live in a city - i used to hate it, but this morning i was actually impressed that it took me less than an hour to get to work via public transport :S
