Nothing Again
Flicking the lighter as we drive,
Cigarettes are laying on the seat.
Our feet are up on the dashboard,
As we descend from our final leap.
The beams on the car are bright,
While the music's turned down low.
And, we're wondering how long it's been,
Or how high, high we can go.
Time's flying by,
But, we don't notice anything at all.
We're out of sight,
We're in outer space.
Nothing can touch us here.
A laugh escapes your lips,
And, another escapes mine.
We don't know what we're laughing about,
But, whatever it is, it must be funny.
Then, for awhile we are silent,
Because for a few minutes we forget where we are.
Whether it be at your house,
Or driving in your car.
It all stops so soon,
The greatness stops too soon.
So, we take it up then,
Until nothing can touch us again.
