kink_bingo My favourite story this year (of my own): It might well be Eight Days. That's a story that lived with me for a long, long time, and so much of my heart is in it, and it is exactly what I want it to be.
My best story this year: I think it's probably Ganymede's New Groove (The Erastes Expansion). It definitely has the best title. Experiment No. 564 is right up there with it.
Most successful fic: Go the Fuck to Sleep, hands down, no question. Possibly my most successful story ever.
Story most tragically underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Seriously, though, where are the other Erik/Mystique fans? I know there must be some. There are at least, like, four, because somebody is leaving these kudos. In that vein, I have to say sparkle and fade. Where all my angst fans at?
Most fun story: Maybe Tomorrow We Die. Because nothing is as epic as Pickles and Skwisgaar getting drunk in public and fucking around a little.
Most sexy story: I'm partial to Loud and Clear myself. Experiment No. 564 is another. Also, the new chapters of Proclivities. So, like, everything.
Story with single sexiest moment: Sorry, I'll Come in Again, for this:
He's wearing all black, right up to his sunglasses, and leaning lazily against the wall on the other side of the door. "Hey there, doc," he drawls, pushing away from it.
"W-what are you doing here?" Rodney sputters. "You're not-"
"Relax," he says. "I know what you're here for."
"I don't know what the hell you're talking about," Rodney insists.
He snorts. "Sure you don't. Why don't you make yourself comfortable?" he says, tilting his head at the big bed across the room.
"I'm leaving," Rodney tells him, but he doesn't move an inch.
"I said-" and the way he flips his switchblade open is unbearably theatrical, but that doesn't mean it doesn't make Rodney's mouth go dry and his dick harden in his pants- "get on the bed."
Oh, this place is so worth what Rodney pays for it.
I DON'T HAVE A THING FOR COLONEL SADIST, WHY WOULD YOU EVEN THINK THAT
Most unintentionally *telling* story: Ahahaha, that would be the key that got lost. Because I am touched in the head.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Safe From Harm. It's a very different Charles, one who's not the super-confident sex master he ends up being a lot of the time (at least in Charles/Pickles stories).
Hardest story to write: Either M9J-203 or sparkle and fade. They're similar in that I wrote the first 6000 words of both of them (which was all of sparkle and fade) in, like, two days, but everything else was hard. M9J-203 almost didn't get finished at all, and I only got through sparkle and fade with a lot of Write or Die and a lot of crying.
Worst story: You know, this is a year that I can honestly say that there's no story that I'd like to unwrite. I'm proud of all my babies this year.
Easiest story to write: The whole OTT Lady Gaga D/s AU was super-easy. Once I got over myself and posted the first story- which sat on my hard drive for over a year- it was smooth sailing after that.
Story I’d like to revise: I think the end of Desperation Song could be better, but for the life of me, I have no idea how else it would go.
Story I didn’t write but will at some point, I swear: I'm officially taking this question out. Every year I'm all OH GOD I AM BURIED IN PWPS. And guess what? I AM BURIED IN PWPS.
Final thoughts: Oh my actual god that is a lot of stories. I have beaten my own story count AND my own word count, which is absolutely strange, because the previous winner (2009) had Nice Place to Visit in it, which is, y'know, 42k words.
But I think I made a good showing, all things considered. So many stories. Sooo many of them. ::falls over::
Now to the podfic roundup. But not today. Probably not this week. If I see another HTML tag right now I will absolutely throw up.
Excelsior!
