(no subject)
Ok, so here's a big post since I'm in a hostel with internet...aaaaand go!
So LJ says it's 5:30pm, june 13an but for me it's 9:30am, june 14. So I'm updating from the FUTURE!
Anyway, I'm in Waitomo, which in bumblefucknowhere in the middle of the north island. Today's our first adventure activity after two weeks of only work. We've planted 3000 trees and potted 2500 seedlings and cleared millions of weeds.
So our first adventure-type thing is black-water rafting, which actually isn't like white-water rafting really. It's more like caving than anything else. We'll be rafting inside these glowworm caves for three hours! So basically, spelnking, but more intense.
we'll be underground for 3 hours and even though I'm not really claustrophobic, I'm a little nervous about. Oh, and there are a bunch of creepy-crawlies like spiders and wetas and eels...ew
That's really all there is in Waitomo. The only other stuff we have planned is to see the angora rabbit shearing show this morning. That's right. Rabbit shearing. I promise to take pictures :-D oh and we're going to the local pub to watch the All Blacks rugby game and meet some of the locals. Fun stuff. :-)
Tomorrow we're going Zorbing. And the only way I can describe that is to say, think of a gigantic hampster ball that has some water splashing around in it. Put three people inside it. Roll the ball down a hill. And that's basically Zorbing ^.^
So yeah, that's it for now. I'm hanging out for a bit until we go to the rabbit shearing thing and then black-water rafting at 2pm today (which is 10pm to you guys)
