(no subject)
I'm back in Port Byron. Lots happened. My mom is making blueberry pancakes for breakfast.
Now what should I do this week / weekend??
Slept four hours this afternoon. Gave Nick back his watch. Had blueberry pancakes. Watched part of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Nick and Zach after playing pool and darts - both ended up dozing off around 2:30-3:00 AM. Spent the afternoon swimming in the Mississippi River and listening to wonderfully nice older adults tell bad jokes. Watched Illinois win the Tug o' War 9 to 2 with Nick and Zach. Drove back to Port Byron via country roads and in less than 2 hours after going to bed at 3 AM and swimming at Brian's. Saw Stardust twice in one day, paid for it once, and saw it with different people both times. Adored the movie but wished some of the omissions hadn't been omitted because that's what made the story so unique (but a book is a book and a movie is a movie - two very different ways to tell a story). Had coffee at Four Beans with Lance and made him late for work (oopsy?). Ate Lou Manati's pizza with Brian and Jon C. Stayed up until 1 AM because Mrs. Schutte was playing Zelda on Brian's Wii. Hung out with the two tall drinks of water and took a short nap before bowling at Funway. Talked with Mrs. Schutte about grad school and employment. Had lunch with Alicia at Portillo's and sobered up. Drove from Champaign to Batavia a little hung over (ie really, really, really wishing I hadn't crawled out of bed). Drank a drink I shouldn't have, didn't have dinner like I should've, and was mopey because I was being anxious/nervous about things I already knew. Saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Peter, Rachel, and Nick after having sushi for lunch.
This week... I really hope I get an interview, get a chance to spend a little more time with Nick, and continue the job hunt. Make plans to visit Suzanne before she starts teaching is on the list, too.
