Summer...

Wow...it's been awhile since I last updated. My summer in the Hamptons was a lot of fun. There are way too many stories to recount, so I will just share the highlights of my trip.

First and foremost, I now have a kitty! I met her at my cousin's house. She just showed up one day in the backyard and I went out to pet her. I thought that she was probably some neighbor's cat and she wouldn't come back. Well, the next day, she came back. I went out to pet her. And all I did was pet her for the next few days, and she kept coming back. Eventually, Erin (my cousin) began to feed her and she permanently started hanging out around the house. The cat wasn't allowed inside because Erin's husband is allergic, so the cat just camped out on the porch all summer. Well, I didn't think I was going to be able to bring her home because of Blue, but surprisingly, my parents said I could. I would have to pay for vet visits, food, and other necessities but they would babysit her while I'm at school and then she would go with me when Barry and I get our apartment with Lyndsay and Brandon. So, she's home! Her name is Mika and she's brown with black stripes and green eyes. She's absolutely adorable. She's adjusting to everyone but of course, the problem lies with Blue. She hisses because he's a dog and he hides because she hisses at him. I think once she's in the apartment with Lyndsay, Barry, Brandon, and I, she'll calm down. She's two years old and just a fiesty little thing, but I love her. ^_^

Let's see...Barry and I met up with Lyndsay, Brandon, and some of Lyndsay's friends from camp in Mystic one weekend. It was a lot of fun that involved a trip to the aquarium, walking through Old Mystick Village, and a trip to the movie theatre to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. We did buy some alcohol to consume but we got back from the movie late, so all of us ended up crashing. Barry and I then set out to Waterbury to his cousin's christening. After that, it was back to Hampton Bays for more pool cleaning.

A couple of weekends after that, we met up with our friend Katie in New York City for a day. We were going to try to see Wicked but it was all sold out. We decided to see this new show called Curtains with David Hyde Pierce and Debra Monk starring. It was so funny and the music was very fun. After the show, we got a picture with David Hyde Pierce and his autograph! YAY! He was very nice about it. Afterwards, we walked around Times Square and ate at O'Lunny's, then spent some time in the Hershey Shop, M & M World, and Toys R Us. It was great seeing Katie again and being able to see a broadway show for $56.00!

I'm home now, and so is John. I'm not happy ith John. He's become very mean, sarcastic, and he swears a lot around my younger siblings. My parents don't even say anything about him doing that, yet I bet if I had as loose a mouth as he does, I would get scolded. He leaves on Monday for Tacoma. At this point, I'm kinda glad to see him go because I don't think I can take much more of his biting comments and him putting me down.

I miss the Hamptons and I miss Barry all the more. It was great to spend all that time with him and now I'm going through withdrawl. But I think this relationship is definitely in for the long haul because we've been able to spend so much time together without wanting to kill each other. I think that's a good sign.

Well, I'm sleepy and I have to take the kitty to the vet tomorrow morning for a check-up.

Good night, minna!
