my family and i just spent a few days in the cottage built by my great uncle amir in a hillstation outside bombay. it was so peaceful there -- i could almost feel the presence of generations of my family who came there to escape the city for a weekend. mom and i went hiking along the hillside and found ruins of an ancient buddhist temple. from the top of that hill we had a fantastic view of the north indian country side as the sun started to sit. we came down the other side of the hill and passed by a bunch of village kids playing cricket. and before returning to the cottage, we were greeted by some water buffalo. i love this place.
