(no subject)
Oh my gosh...two posts in one day! What is the world coming to? (=
My first day of student teaching was fantastic and basically all me! I started the kiddos off with their morning routines of attendance and all that jazz then we went straight into science. It was supposed to be an assembly but it got switch to a later time in the day which was supposed to be my "observation" time of math so it ended up making science literally all day. Plus I started a Harriet Tubman biography with them so I read a chapter aloud after lunch and then read to them. I did however need help with the end of the day routines cause it certainly has been a few months since I've been around for that. Other then that though, it was me!! :D Gosh I'm still all smiles about it. Granted it was only a 1/2 day but it was awesome and the teachers dont get to leave till after a regular school day anyways so I have my teaching planned all through next week plus helped plan an assembly about Martin Luther King JR that will happen in acouple of weeks. Nothing like being thrown into the mix right away! I also have to go in early tomorrow for the first staff meeting of the trimester. I'm not so sure what is going to be talked about since well let's face it, we've only been back for 1/2 a day :p
Is it wrong that I'm so very excited that one of the problem children of my classroom isn't coming back? He transfered back to his old elementary school. Now I dont have to worry about shoes being thrown at me! :x Haha
shelly_ellie is on her way back right now. It seems like it's been ages since I've seen her or really had a convo. with her since she has been gone the last several days. Oooh and we both write reviews on that yelp website (which I think she has mentioned before) and we both got honors with being apart of the Elite group for 2008! It's going to be so cool! (=
